Arm Liposuction

Arm liposuction offers a solution for many who are insecure about the loose skin hanging from their upper arms. As we age we lose tightness in many areas of the body from the bags under our eyes to skin of our arms. All the toning and work outs in the world can’t seem to eliminate the extra flab in the arms and for good reason. The reason is because the loose skin and fat deposits keep the area from toning. It is more prominent in women because men can typically compensate by building large muscles in their upper arms. Women cannot or do not want muscular arms and therefore look to liposuction to remove the fat. With advancement in liposuction techniques, such as laser liposuction, arm liposuction is now an effective and practically painless way to eliminate the flapping skin hanging from the underside of your upper arms.

Laser Liposuction

Traditional liposuction would do little to resolve the issue because the skin would remain loose and more so after the fat was removed. Laser liposuction allows the fat to be removed while tightening the skin at the same time. This is due to the heat generated from the laser causing the skin to contract and fit nicely over the newly sculpted upper arm.

Arm Lipo Procedure

The first step to any plastic surgery procedure is to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. They can help determine the best solution for your particular goals and you can determine if this is still something you want to go through with. If you do decide to proceed, local anesthesia will be administered to the area being treated so you will remain awake during the procedure but the arm will be numb. Then a tiny optic fiber will be inserted to the area where the fat is to be removed. This fiber is then pulsed with a laser which generates enough heat to literally melt away the fat and a small suction tube is used to remove the liquefied fat.

Arm Liposuction Prices

Liposuction prices depend on a number of factors including geographical location of the clinic and the cosmetic surgery market of that region. The size of the area, meaning bigger arms, will also affect the cost. For this reason it is not easy to provide an accurate estimate but national averages range from $1,500 to $5,000.

Arm Lipo Candidates

No liposuction procedure is meant to be a cure for obesity or solve weight issues. An ideal candidate is in general good health and no more than 20 pounds over their ideal weight. The prospective patient also has to be mentally prepared and have reasonable expectations from the procedure. Not cosmetic enhancement procedure can turn you into the supermodel you imagined and anyone who thinks that plastic surgery is a vehicle to achieve those unrealistic dreams is in for a lot of trouble. Arm liposuction patients can be almost any age and are typically women. A person of any age can develop flabby skin in their upper arm.
